Monumental cock-up on my part today…. apparently it’s NOT a bank holiday here – in spite of checking if today was one in Scotland as well as England – it IS one in SOME parts of Scotland….but just not here – GAHHH!!!!!! So yes – the kids should have been at school/nursery today. Pants.
Today I took Dustbunny’s new pink scooter with me when I went to pick her up from Nursery.
She was really excited as it seems to be the craze at the moment. (Im getting very good at avoiding collisions with hundreds of scooting kids now!)
After Nursery, it’s a bit quieter, so I thought I’d let her scoot home too. She did pretty well – only managed to fall off three times!
She loved it though!
I know it’s only been one week of ‘normality’ but I’ve spent most of it in some sort of zombie-like state – not that much different from my normal state really…
However, we’ve all reached Friday relatively unscathed (except Dopedaddy who has been off sick since Tuesday.)
When I went up to collect Mophead from school just now, I took her new scooter with me which she got from Santa. Most of the kids have them at the moment and they’re light and fun.
She asked me to take it with me yesterday so she could scoot home, however I forgot – I was most certainly in the bad books!
The upside of it all is that we did actually get home a lot faster rather that the usaul dawdle home!
Once again managed to get the munchkins out of the house in time for School & Nursery! Although Mophead did have to run from the school gate as her class were going in!
Dopeydaddy, after one day back to work is back at home ill.
It’s also very very icy and slippery outside – black ice everywhere
January 5th and everything is back to ‘normal’ again. For once we managed to get everyone up and out of the house and off to school/Nursery/work in good time without the stress levels hitting their usual high!
Feels a bit funny with the house being so quiet now after 3 weeks of bustle.
Time for the first uninterrupted cup of tea of the year… (probably the ONLY untinterrupted cup of tea of the year!)
Unless the phone rings of course….
Today is the last day of the School holidays.
Obviously, all the uniforms are all freshely washed and ready to go, new shoes bought, everything all sorted and organised…
NOT!!!!
I plan to spend the rest of the day writing frenzied blog posts about how totally and completely unorganised I am and pondering upon how this could possibly be the case. I mean I’ve only had 6 weeks to get everything sorted!
A fairly quiet week in the world of Magz, so I’ll just add a quick recap of what we’ve been up to recently.
I’ll start by re-posting the last couple of posts, because it would be a shame to lose them when I close down the old Typad account…

Busy Again!
This last weekend has been very busy! Went to see Peter, Erinn and Ailsa on Saturday! Was great to see them all again! One day we even make it over to Ohio to return the visit!
Then on Sunday it was down to Kirriemuir for our friend’s little girl’s birthday party. Spent most of Monday morning recovering from said birthday party!
Today, I was helping out with the Nursery Picnic. A half hour bus journey to a lovely little park. Was really good fun! All the little one’s had a great time!

Happy Campers
We went on our first ever camping trip earlier this week!
We didn’t venture too far, just in case we didn’t take keenly to the ‘outdoor life’ and only planned to stay for one night. However, we had a really great time and ended up staying an extra night!
